Privacy notice.
What we do with the information you send us, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
Databerg Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. We are the data controller for the information described here. Our ICO registration number is 00015330751. Reach us at hello@databerg.co.uk.
What we collect
When you use the contact form we collect your name, your email address, and anything else you choose to enter: a phone number, your company size, a budget range, and the message itself. If you email us directly we hold whatever your email contains.
The form records the country and city our host reports for the request, so we can tell a genuine enquiry from automated traffic.
Cookies
When you first visit the site, a banner asks whether you allow analytics cookies. If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure how pages are used. This helps us understand which content is useful and improve the site. Google Analytics sets cookies that record your visit, the pages you view, and how you arrived at the site. The information is aggregated and anonymised before storage.
If you reject analytics cookies, no tracking cookies are set and Google Analytics does not load at all. Your choice is stored in your browser so the banner does not reappear on each visit.
We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing, or any third-party trackers beyond the analytics described above.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
We use it to answer your enquiry, to prepare a proposal if you want one, and to keep a record of what was discussed. The lawful basis is legitimate interests: you contacted us about work, and replying is what you asked for. Where we later agree to do work for you, the basis becomes performance of a contract.
Where it goes
A form submission is turned into an email and delivered to our mailbox at Zoho Mail, whose servers are in the European Union. Zoho is our processor and acts on our instructions. The page itself is served by Cloudflare, which handles the request in transit. We do not use a third-party form service, we do not sell or share your information, and nothing you send is used to train any model.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 24 months. Where we do work together, we keep the records for seven years after the engagement ends, which is what UK tax and company law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to us holding it at all. Write to hello@databerg.co.uk and we will answer within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
